MY CURVY YOGA EXPERIENCE WITH STRETCH YOGA - PART 2

We're currently four weeks into our our six week course of Curvy Yoga at Stretch Yoga and I thought I would give you a quick update to how we're going. 

The last couple of weeks have been about balance and deep stretching. Far out, the poses can be hard to hold! But you can really feel the stretches working your muscles and through the different poses, I could feel myself opening up and becoming more flexible. 

 

I think that as a four week update, things seem to be going really great, I think my yoga is improving as my poses are becoming more advanced. I feel like transitioning into a general class will be an easy transition for myself and the rest of the class. 

 

One of the poses that we do is when you curl up into a ball and roll on your lower back to massage it out, it actually really hurts my back. I think my back is really tight and because I have a sway back it might be more impacting on me. Kaitlyn suggested that it may be because I have tight hamstrings and I feel like maybe I'm going to get what's coming for me in the next class, as week 5 is all about Forward Folds, Hamstrings and Quads. Eek! I can feel the burn already! 

 

This week has a couple of new CURVY COURSES starting up this week, theses are the start up dates.

Sundays 10:45am - 11:45am October 16th - November 20th
Thursdays 5:30pm - 6:30pm  November 10th - December 15th 

CBD Studio
Thursdays 6:45pm - 7:45pm September 29th - November 3rd
Thursdays 6:45pm - 7:45pm November 10th - December 15th

 

I will check in with you all again after the six weeks is up and give you an update on how the course was for me.. spoiler alert, I love it. haha
