Gorgeous girls, summer is coming and I don't know about you but I don't feel the sudden need to completely alter my body just because a new season is coming and neither should you.
Now please don't get me wrong, I put on a significant amount of weight this winter from not being able to move for three months (I broke my leg for those who didn't know) and I'm still unable to do a full workout. so I do want to get healthy again and that will come with time but while we're all on our own journey with our bodies we should be able to live confidently and wear whatever we want to!
I was thinking the other day about how I used to be so concerned about how people would see me and what people would think if I wore a strapless or sleeveless top or dress. I used to think that people would look at my stretch marks or my chunky arms and think less of me or think that I needed to cover up to make them more comfortable but to be honest, I actually couldn't care less of what anyone else thinks of my body. I love my body just how it is. Every single part of it, and as summer comes I'm going to be falling more and more in love with my arms and having them out on these hot Brisbane days!
Your confidence should't be based on how other people perceive you. We need to fall in love with our bodies for our own happiness and no one else's. You can read my past blog posts on body confidence here and here.
So this summer I'm going to have MY CHUNKY ARMS OUT AND I'M GOING TO LOVE IT DESPITE WHAT ANYONE ELSE THINKS. Chances are, no one will even notice or care anyway.
This dress is the perfect dress to start off your new found arm confidence. This is the Kimmy High Neck Ruched Maxi Dress by Pink Clove (generiously gifted) and I seriously love this dress! It's so comfortable and easy to style and super flattering, if I do say so myself.
I'd love to know what you think of this post, do you cover your arms in summer? Do you want to try this gorgeous dress out for some summer glam? Let me know below! Love you xx
